v.3.0 | art | design
Last month I was asked by Stephan Rosger, an Interactive web, communication & marketing designer to come up with a piece of illustration for his newly launch site, the theme given is “surviving the urban jungle”

Right now I am having paintings (sumtin old and sumtin new..) displayed at Calabash Bistro and Lounge (Basement Level Lounge)…So far I can’t complain since I’ve sold more pieces through there than I’ve ever sold any at galleries. Besides my art, check’em out for great Caribbean & Island flava cuisine!

….to find out recently that actually I do have bit of an audience for this site.
Like most people that run their own personal websites, I feel like I’m just in this dark room where I hang my own pictures while talking to myself….however, once the light goes on in the room there are actually unexpected guest there…..
Other than the general periodic spam I get here and there, I have gotten some replies in regards to a recent illustration I did of a Priest praying (besides the newest piece in painting section….lol). Besides being stunned by how much faith people still have with Catholicism, I’m equally amazed at how my lil statement had caused a stir in their minds…lol (I am literally laughing).
Nuff of da jibba jabba (anybudy seem the new A-team movie, does Rampage say that at all???), more concept art up in illustration section and here’s a peak.
P.S. The Guru tribute video is STILL going on, plus it is NEVER too late to pay tribute to someone great, right?

Other than the usual hustle, I’ve been steady building some more concept art pieces for my port folio, such as the latest piece in illustration section titled “Stereotypes series I“… It is a CA piece depicting some typical urban stereotypes (from L to R): Dope Slinger, Cholo gangs, Aspiring MC, Neighborhood Hustlers, Back-packing graf writer.
#### May 7 updated### —-> I have added development sketches to this post and the gallery

It has been a soul-searching month, also been trying to stay busy…
..with some portrait pieces that are available in prints…
Also I think recently I was pleasantly surprised as in how many random viewers of the site started just hitting me up over email. Some with proposal to do commissioned piece but even after I consistently follow up with them, they ended up nowhere to be found….didn’t think I said anything wrong….or did I?
