Last month I was asked by Stephan Rosger, an Interactive web, communication & marketing designer to come up with a piece of illustration for his newly launch site, the theme given is “surviving the urban jungle”

Right now I am having paintings (sumtin old and sumtin new..) displayed at Calabash Bistro and Lounge (Basement Level Lounge)…So far I can’t complain since I’ve sold more pieces through there than I’ve ever sold any at galleries. Besides my art, check’em out for great Caribbean & Island flava cuisine!

Feb 2011

Been really busy going through bit transition with career choices….

- Got lots of new works that will eventually pop up here and there in sections…so JUST GO BROWSE  Visual

- will have more new mixes coming out (who knows the ol’ audio section might pop back on)

- New look to the Store section coming soon

Like Mos Def say been a “traveling man” for a minute now, starting on some new art projects and will post’em soon.

For those who dunno me, I also DJ too and been doing it for almost 10 yr.s now. Grew up listening to tablist style and now I covered an eclectic selection of music…

I will fill this month’s quota with an old mix-tape that a friend suggested me to re-post, enjoy!

Every once in awhile when I slacked on the updates, I always have some random messages from people msging me ” Hey still alive?” or ” Wassup with the site….you quit doing art??”

I love it how random people can sound so demanding considering I have no direct connection to them….are they really hungry for more of my creations or are they trying to see if it’s worth the time to spam my site??

In anycase, there are new pieces added to the Illustration section now.

The one shown here should be a fairly familiar image to anybody living in Vancouver especially after that new bogus HST tax they laid on us like nobody’s bizness….

Summer’s in the city….

Stereotypes series I

Other than the usual hustle, I’ve been steady building some more concept art pieces for my port folio, such as the latest piece in illustration section titled “Stereotypes series I“… It is a CA piece depicting some typical urban stereotypes (from L to R): Dope Slinger, Cholo gangs, Aspiring MC, Neighborhood Hustlers, Back-packing graf writer.

It has been a soul-searching month, also been trying to stay busy…

..with some portrait pieces that are available in prints…

Also I think recently I was pleasantly surprised as in how many random viewers of the site started just hitting me up over email. Some with proposal to do commissioned piece but even after I consistently follow up with them, they ended up nowhere to be found….didn’t think I said anything wrong….or did I?

March 2010

….God must be listening to my unofficial prayers recently when I was getting mad stressed with my last job, he decides to take me out of the misery with having steady income and put me on the free agent roster (for the non-sports junkie, i.e.: unemployment)…so I right away put my free time to use and here’s some more new stuff.

I have been getting alot of responses, not necessarily positive since the content…(*Warning* if ya a feminist or a child fronting as over 18, don’t get agro on me when you get upset or aroused seeing them). For instance the new “…???” piece is about pushing the boundaries: using less to say more…in a visual way. The fellas would know what I mean.
